PLANNER, Product specialist, USM USA

Description of responsibilities:

Planning -

• Support sales team with medium/large scale project floor plans and presentations – primarily in VIRTUAL USM (proprietary software similar to Sketch up) CAD or other third party software but also supporting the sales people to properly and most efficiently use VIRTUAL USM

• Support manager of House Account/Corporate client projects re: floor plans – primarily in CAD or other third party software as well as VIRTUAL USM when applicable

• Support sales team with reconfigurations of previous orders. Attend site meetings to plan and prepare design options for new orders.

• Resolve complex technical and design issues

• Assist in managing client expectations, team communication and coordination

Virtual USM (proprietary software similar to sketch-up)

• Support the team with every day questions and issues

• Organize team trainings : individual ones when new persons enter the company or common ones when issues are identified or updates needed

• Organize sales partners training: prepare a full training program based international USM standards

• Collect all problems/requests and share them regularly with international Virtual lead

• Prepare informational newsletter on updates (together with international Virtual lead)

• Send updates + explanations of update to USM internal users and sales partners

• Do installations of Virtual USM on sales partners computers if necessary and solve temporary issues

Training at Headquarters in Switzerland and Paris office needed:

Products/Safety rules/ Special products -

• US interface for all product launches/ VIRTUAL USM safety updates and issues working with USM International Head of VIRTUAL USM

• US contact for sales team/ sales partners for specific product issues and all VIRTUAL USM safety updates

• Organize trainings for the team when new products/updates are launched

• Organize communications on new products/updates when requested in collaboration with the International Head of VIRTUAL USM

General –

• Apply codes, client guidelines, and USM requirements in balance to achieve client request design

• Work on multiple projects simultaneously, each with differing scope and products

• Manage work flow, schedule, and task priority for larger projects

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS – REQUIRED

• 2+ years of related experience in interior design and space planning with experience in corporate interiors

• Bachelors degree in Interior Design

• Proficient with AutoCAD, PowerPoint, Microsoft Office software

• Strong knowledge of the design process, furniture systems and specifications

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Outstanding graphic presentation skills

• Knowledge of building codes and ADA compliant design

• Effective written, verbal, and visual communication

• Excellent time management, organization, and project management skills

• Deadline-driven work ethic while still a team-player
