New York Textile Month is an annual celebration and regional festival designed to highlight textile creativity and promote textile awareness. Initiated by trend forecaster Lidewij Edelkoort and assisted by Ragna Froda, this multiple-location event gathers all voices and expressions concerning textiles, bringing together museums, galleries, showrooms, retailers, design studios, students, and the general public every September.
